Can I collect my order directly from National Photography?

Yes, you can! All orders must be paid for at the time of placing your order. A member of our customer service team will notify you when your order is ready to be collected. Orders will be held for 3 months at our office. After this point we will contact you again to collect your order. We will hold your order for another 4 weeks before securely disposing of it.

After this point you will be required to place a new order.

Can I have my children photographed together?

Yes! You will need to check if your school has organised a specific time for sibling photos to be taken. If a time hasn't been allocated for sibling photos to be taken your children can approach on of our friendly team members and request to have their photo taken.

If you are interested in having a photo of your children taken together we encourage you to register online. A link to the registration page will be provided to the school to be distributed to families. Prior to photo day we will provide a list of registered families to the school to help plan for the photo session.

National Photography don’t require you to pre-pay to have sibling photos taken.

Can I Order A Smaller Class/Year Level Group Photograph?

No, unfortunately these groups are a set size to suit the number of students who feature in the group, and the templates/packages they are provided in.

Can I order additional photographs?

Of course! You can place an order online or simply contact our customer service team on 1300 677 000 and we'll be more than happy process your order.

Can I preview my child’s school photo before ordering?

Unfortunately, in most cases we are unable to provide proofs of your child's portrait prior to ordering.

If, however, your school uses Individual Shoot Keys (refer to 'What is a shoot key' for more information) and you order after the initial bulk photo delivery has been sent to school you will be able to preview your child's photo online.

Due to time and system constraints we are unable to offer this to schools with Generic Shoot Keys or action individual requests for proofs.

Can I still order online after photo day?

Of course! You are still able to place your order online or you can call us on 1300 677 000 and our friendly staff can help you complete your order over the phone.

We recommend that all orders are placed before photo day to ensure your child’s order in included in the bulk delivery to the school.

Can I use an image for a website, publication or any other commercial use?

A selection of complimentary images can be provided to your school or business s part of our service. We also offer very reasonable prices for commercial use or publication of any additional images. Please discuss you image needs when placing your booking.

We ask that you credit National Photography with any images you use.

Can I use the images you photograph for my own website?

Yes, we are more than happy to provide a selection of images for your centre's use in advertising.

Can I use the photos for my own website/promotion?

Yes, we are more than happy to provide a selection of high-resolution images for your studio's use on your website or in marketing campaigns. We also offer very reasonable prices for commercial use or publication of any additional images.

We ask that you credit National Photography with any images you use.

Can you photograph large groups?

Yes, we can! Please be sure to mention any large groups when placing your booking to ensure we can accommodate your request.

Can you photograph large groups?

Yes, we can! Our studio backdrops accommodate for groups of up to 15 students. For groups exceeding this, we can simply find an alternative location within the venue to photograph them. Please advise of any large group photo requirements when placing your booking.

Can you provide ID cards?

Yes! As part of capturing your school photos, National Photography have a range of ID card services available. Please speak to our Client Services Manager about your ID card requirements when placing your booking.

Do I have to handle photo orders and payments?

No, all orders are placed online using our secure website and will be dispatched home to families. Families deal directly with us.

Do I have to handle photo orders and payments?

No, National Photography will post all orders to your families and work with them directly. We do have the option to provide a one-off bulk delivery to your centre where we would waive the postage charge to families. Ask us about this option when placing your booking!

Do you charge a late fee if families forget to order?

No. National Photography doesn’t charge a late fee on any orders. However, orders that are required to be sent directly home to families will incur a postage/packaging charge.

Do you charge a photography fee?

No, we offer a complimentary service to our studios and club. We do however require that all dancer's pay a sitting fee.

Do you offer refunds or replacement photos?

National Photography has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We can provide you with a full refund or replacement prints for all returned photographs.

Do you organise a catch-up photo day for any staff or students that missed out on 'Photo Day'?

Yes, we can organise retake days at a time that is convenient and suitable for the school. When booking your school photo day, recommend that you also book a retake day 1-2 weeks after your initial booking.

After your main photo day, we will provide a list of any staff and students that missed out of having their photo taken on or require their photo to be retaken to help plan for the retake day.

Do you photograph School Events? (Formals, Graduations, Debutante Balls, Captains Inductions, etc.)

Yes, we do! We aim to provide a complete service to our schools and are able to accommodate all of your photographic needs.

Do you photograph sport teams and/or music groups?

We certainly can! When placing your booking for school photos please speak to our Client Services Manager about any additional photographic services your School may require. We will be able to create a photographic service that suits your School.

Do you retouch your photos?

National Photography doesn't offer any retouching on school portraits.

Do You Return To Photograph Students And Staff Who Were Absent On 'Photo Day'?

Yes, we can organise retake days at a time that is convenient and suitable for the school.

Does National Photography sell the photos on the concert day?

No, we never sell photos at concerts so you can focus on your performances!

Have your photographers had a "Working with Children" check?

Yes, it is a requirement that all our photographer hold up to date 'Working with Children' accreditation.

How do Guests place their orders?

All images from the event will be uploaded to our password protected website for your viewing and ordering. The photographers will provide guests with an online ordering instruction card on the night.

All orders are then sent directly home to families.

How do I complete an order online?

Select your favorite images and add the print or product that you would like to your cart. If you are having trouble please contact our office on 1300 677 000 or email us at info@nationalphotography.com.au and we can walk you through the process.

How do I order Sibling Photos?

The photographers will take a number of images in varying poses of your children on photo day. You will receive a proof sheet and order form at a later date allowing you to review the images in your own time and place an order online at your convenience.

Normally the proof sheet and order form will be delivered at the same time as your children's school photo package. The proof sheet and order form can be found in you oldest child's photo package.

How do I place an order?

Prior to or on photo day National Photography will provide your studio/club with a catalogue of our products as well as instructions on how to access the images online. All individual and group photos from your day will be available for viewing and ordering online 1-2 weeks after photo day.

You will need to create an account online to access your studio/club's image gallery.

To ensure prompt delivery we recommend placing your order within 2 weeks of the images being available online.

How do I place my order?

Depending on the preferred ordering method chosen by your School you can order your child’s photos online or you may also have the option to complete and return an order envelope. It is encouraged that online orders are placed prior to photo day. Order envelopes should be returned to the photographers on photo day. Alternatively, you can call us on 1300 677 000 and our friendly staff can help you complete your order over the phone.

How do I purchase the activity images?

A set of activity proofs from the Photo day are provided to families with an accompanying order form, enabling you to order at your leisure. After making your selection and choosing your favourite images to purchase, simply post or email your order directly to our office with payment completed.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Cheque or Money Order.

How do I view the images taken on the night?

All images from the event will be uploaded to our password protected website for your viewing and ordering. The photographers will provide guests with an online ordering instruction card on the night.

You will need to create an account online to access your event's image gallery.

The event organiser for your School or Business will receive a notification from us as well as online ordering instructions when the images are available online. They will be able to notify you.

How do Parents place their orders?

A set of activity proofs from the day are provided to the centre to distribute to families with an accompanying order form, enabling them to order at their leisure. We will provide a poster of the group photos to be displayed at the centre so parents can view the images before ordering. Families post their orders to National Photography and the photo packages are posted directly home.

How do you process and send late orders?

We encourage families to place their orders before photo day but if they forget or are unable to do so, they can still place their order online or by calling our office and one of our customer service team can assist by taking their order over the phone.

When we complete the initial bulk deliver to your School we will send a reminder to any families that haven't ordered. They will have 2 weeks to do so online and their orders will be sent to school for distribution in our 'second round delivery'. Any orders after this point will be sent directly home to the families and will incur a postage/packaging charge.

How long do you keep photos on file?

We keep all images on file for a minimum of 5 years. Images are only available online for viewing and ordering for 12-18 months. After this time customer are required to visit our Richmond office to view any archival images and to place an order.

How many photographers will be sent on photo day?

Depending on school requirements, we will send as many photographers as needed, to ensure the day fits within your schedule and flows in a manner as organised and orderly as possible. This can be discussed with our Client Services Manager when placing your booking.

How many photos will you take of my child?

We will take a shot of each student holding an identifying name sheet and then 1-3 portraits. The number of shots may vary between students.

How much space do Photographers need?

We have a number of studio solutions that allow us to cater for most space requirements; minimum requirement is 9mx9m for each set up.

How/when will I receive my school photos?

All orders placed before photo day will be printed and dispatched to the school for distribution once we have had final approval on the group photos. We need to wait until the group photos are approved before printing to ensure there are no spelling errors, students listed incorrectly, absentees included, etc.

I can't log into my account, what do I do?

You can reset your account password online by clicking "Forgot Password". If you are not sure how to do so or haven't received an email from us once you have asked for your password to be reset please contact our office on 1300 677 000 or email us at info@nationalphotography.com.au. We can reset your password for you.

I can't seem to find some of the images I remember being taken of me on the night?

Please be sure to check the correct table number or family name folder. If you are still unable to locate your images please call our customer service department on 1300 677 000 or email us at info@nationalphotography.com.au and we will be able to assist in locating your images.

I have already placed my order, can I order additional photographs?

Of course! You can place an order online or simply contact our customer service team on 1300 677 000 and we'll be more than happy to update your existing order or process a new one for you.

I have lost my envelope and/or my online shoot key, what do I do?

Contact our customer service team by phone on 1300 677 000 or email us at info@nationalphotography.com.au and a member of our customer service team will be able to assist.

If your School has the option of ordering envelopes, National Photography will have provided the School with spare ordering envelopes. These can normally be collected from your School's office/reception.

I have lost the password to access my photos, what do I?

Please contact our office on 1300 677 000 or email us at info@nationalphotography.com.au and our friendly customer services staff will be able to assist you.

I have ordered a package that contains a digital download, how will I receive this?

When we deliver the printed photo orders to the school or to your home address we will also email out any digital images that have been purchased. Unfortunately, you will not receive them instantly upon placing your order.

Please ensure when ordering digital copies of your child's photos that you provide the correct email address and that if you haven't received the link after the printed photos have been distributed to check your Junk Mail folder.

I have placed an order from a previous year, how long will it take to arrive?

Our standard turnaround times of 2-4 weeks still apply to any archive orders. Orders more than 2 years old may incur longer wait times. Please allow up to 2 additional weeks for these orders.

I haven't received my school photos but other parents have, what should I do?

Check with your child's classroom/homeroom teacher and the school office. They may not have distributed the photo packages yet or your child may have been away when they were distributed. If there was an issue with processing your order we will contact you via phone or email to try to resolve the issue before photos are dispatched to the school. If we haven't heard back from you regarding payment before we deliver the school photos a note will be given to your child asking that you contact our office at your convenience.

If the school is unable to locate your child's photo order and you haven't been contact by National Photography regarding your order, please contact our customer service team by phone on 1300 677 000 or email us at info@nationalphotography.com.au. We will be able to assist you in resolving the issue with your order.

I lost/did not receive my child’s activity proofs, can you send them out to me?

I placed an ordering using an ordering envelope, when will my payment be processed?

We aim to process all payments as soon as possible after day but due to photo day we cannot guarantee this. Payments may be processed up to one month after photo day.

Is National Photography insured?

Yes! National Photography has up to date Public Liability Insurance that covers $10 million. AS3760:2003 compliant

It has been longer than 4 weeks and I haven’t received my order, what do I do?

Please contact our customer service team by phone on 1300 677 000 or email us at info@nationalphotography.com.au. We will be able to assist you in resolving the issue with your order.

My child forgot to hand in their envelope on photo day, can I still order?

Of course! You are still able to place your order online by following the instructions on your ordering envelope. Alternatively, you can call us on 1300 677 000 and our friendly staff can help you complete your order over the phone.

My child was absent on photo day, will they still have their photo taken?

After photo day we will provide a list of any students that missed out of having their photo taken on photo day. The School will notify you if a 'Retake/Makeup' photo day will be held. Please note that due to time constraints, group photographs cannot be re-taken. If your child isn't present for their group photo their name will appear in the 'absent' line.

My order is being sent directly home to me, how long will this take?

If you have requested this prior to the main delivery to the school we won't be able to dispatch your order until the group photos are approved by the school and we have completed our print run.

If you have placed a late order that is being sent directly home please allow 2-4 weeks for your order to arrive.

My order is being sent directly home, how will it be package?

National Photography takes great care to package our prints and products to ensure they are not damaged in transit. All prints are packed between 2 pieces of solid cardboard and placed in a plastic sleeve before being sealed in a postage envelope.

All 11x14 inch prints or larger will be carefully rolled and send in packing tubes.

All products (ie. Bag tags, keyings, drink bottles) will be wrapped in packing foam and may be boxed depending on the number of products.

All blockmounts will be fitted with cardboard corners and will be wrapped in packing foam.

Unfortunately, we rely on mail and courier providers to deliver our products and despite our efforts to prevent it, orders may still be damaged in the process. If you order does arrive damaged please call us on 1300 677 000 or email us at info@nationalphotography.com.au and we can organise replacement of any damaged items to be resent.

*Please Note: You will be required to provide evidence of the damage before we can provide any replacement items. Simply email us a photograph of the damaged item and we can action your replacement order.

My order was long/items were missing, how long will it take to get a replacement?

Any missing or replacement orders will be sent via courier or Express Post at no cost to you. We aim to have any replacement orders printed and dispatched within 3-10 business days.

You are also welcome to arrange to collect your replacement order from our Richmond Office.

What background options do you have available?

National Photography has 3 different background options available; white, black and autumn toned. Please advise when booking which option your studio/club would prefer.

What do I need to order online?

Your child will be provided with an ordering envelope or online flyer with instruction on how to order your photos online. You will need a shoot key to place your order online. This shoot key will be clearly visible on the ordering information you receive.

What is a shoot key?

A 'shoot key' is the code that you will need to access our online store to submit an order for school photos online. There are 2 types of shoot keys, Individual and Generic.

If your School has the option of ordering envelopes your child will have a unique individual shoot key that is needed to place an order for their photos. If your school has opted for online only ordering you will be provided with a generic shoot key (all students receive the same key to order).

What is a sitting fee?

Like many other industry leaders, National Photography has integrated a photography sitting fee for all studio dance/calisthenics bookings. Parents are required to pay $20 for each child photographed and in return, they will receive $25 credit/voucher to use when purchasing from our wide range of products. The sitting fee covers costs associated with National Photography's services. This includes the photographer's time and expertise, travel and equipment costs along with our pre and post production services.

What is the standard size for prints?

A "5x7" inch (13cm x 18cm) image is the smallest print size we offer and will fit a range of readily available picture frames. We also have a range of larger print sizes and products to choose from.

What methods of payments do you accept?

For all online orders we accept VISA and MASTERCARD. We also accept Cheques and Money Orders but these orders must be place over the phone with one of our customer service representatives. These orders will not be printed and dispatched until payment has been received.

What time do the Photographers arrive on activity photo day?

Approximately 15 minutes before the commencement of photography - we fit in with your program!

National Photography has ALL of your event photography needs covered! We can provide professional photography for Debutante/Presentation Balls, Formals, Graduations, Religious Ceremonies, Sporting Events, Music Concerts, Presentations and many more.

What types of activity photographs do you take?

We pride ourselves on capturing all the adventures and joys of being in Pre-School and Kindergarten. A wide range of recreational photographs are taken, which include images of children engaging in both indoor and outdoor activities. We endeavour to ensure 'parental satisfaction' by providing them with a selection of proofs to purchase from.

What will our Centre Receive?

Each Centre that we photograph will receive 10% commission on the total sales from your photo day/s. We will also provide the Centre with a complimentary copy of the group photos for your records as well as a printed copy of any staff portraits taken on the day/s.

What will the Studio/Club receive?

  • Either $10 commission per dancer or 10% commission on total sales (approximately $2 per dancer). Your commission amount is determined by which sitting fee option you select when booking
  • Access to the online gallery
  • Up to 20 complimentary retouched high-resolution images of your choice that may be used to promote your studio/club
  • Complementary display poster of your group photos

When will proofs (of the photos taken) be available for the parents/students?

We aim to have your proofs delivered to the centre for distribution 1-2 weeks after your last photo day.

When will the images be available for the parents/students to view and order?

All individual and group photos from your day will be available for viewing and ordering online 1-2 weeks after photo day.

When will the photos taken at the event be available for viewing?

The images will be available for viewing and ordering approximately 1 week after your event. All orders can be placed online using our password protected website. Password and ordering instructions will be available on the night from the photographers.

National Photography will also notify the event organiser for your School or Business advising that the images are online along with the gallery password and online ordering instructions.

When will the student orders be delivered to the school?

We estimate that we will be able to deliver the student order 2-4 weeks after final sign off on the group photos. We require that all group photos be checked and approved by the school before we are able to commence our print run.

Why do I need to pay to access the gallery?

Like many other industry leaders, National Photography has integrated a photography sitting fee for all studio dance/calisthenics bookings. In some cases, this sitting fee may be paid to the dance school prior to photo day or it may need to be paid before you can gain access to your dance school/club's image gallery.

Parents are required to pay the $20 sitting, they will receive $25 credit/voucher to use when purchasing from our wide range of products. The sitting fee covers costs associated with National Photography's services. This includes the photographer's time and expertise, travel and equipment costs along with our pre and post production services.

If your sitting fee is paid in advance you will receive a $25 voucher from your dance school. If you need to pay the sitting fee to access the gallery the $25 will be credited to your account.

Access cannot be transferred between galleries but you can use your credit to purchase access to another gallery. Please note that partial use of vouchers is not allowed, vouchers must be used in full.

Will the school receive a copy of photos for school use?

Yes. National Photography will provide all staff and student portraits taken throughout the year to the School. Once group photos have been finalised we will also provide digital copies for the School’s archives and year book along with a text file of the group names.

In addition, we will also provide a PDF file of the printed ID folios so that additional pages can be printed by the school as required.

How do I order Sibling Photos?

Normally the proof sheet and order form will be delivered at the same time as your children's school photo package. The proof sheet and order form can be found in you oldest child's photo package.

How do I place an order?

We will take a shot of each student holding an identifying name sheet and then 1-3 portraits. The number of shots may vary between students.

We have a number of studio solutions that allow us to cater for most space requirements; minimum requirement is 9mx9m for each set up.

If your School has the option of ordering envelopes, National Photography will have provided the School with spare ordering envelopes. These can normally be collected from your School's office/reception.

I have ordered a package that contains a digital download, how will I receive this?

When we deliver the printed photo orders to the school or to your home address we will also email out any digital images that have been purchased. Unfortunately, you will not receive them instantly upon placing your order.

Please ensure when ordering digital copies of your child's photos that you provide the correct email address and that if you haven't received the link after the printed photos have been distributed to check your Junk Mail folder.

I have placed an order from a previous year, how long will it take to arrive?

I haven't received my school photos but other parents have, what should I do?

Check with your child's classroom/homeroom teacher and the school office. They may not have distributed the photo packages yet or your child may have been away when they were distributed. If there was an issue with processing your order we will contact you via phone or email to try to resolve the issue before photos are dispatched to the school. If we haven't heard back from you regarding payment before we deliver the school photos a note will be given to your child asking that you contact our office at your convenience.

Yes! National Photography has up to date Public Liability Insurance that covers $10 million. AS3760:2003 compliant

My child forgot to hand in their envelope on photo day, can I still order?

My child was absent on photo day, will they still have their photo taken?

After photo day we will provide a list of any students that missed out of having their photo taken on photo day. The School will notify you if a 'Retake/Makeup' photo day will be held. Please note that due to time constraints, group photographs cannot be re-taken. If your child isn't present for their group photo their name will appear in the 'absent' line.

My order is being sent directly home to me, how long will this take?

If you have requested this prior to the main delivery to the school we won't be able to dispatch your order until the group photos are approved by the school and we have completed our print run.

If you have placed a late order that is being sent directly home please allow 2-4 weeks for your order to arrive.

My order is being sent directly home, how will it be package?

National Photography takes great care to package our prints and products to ensure they are not damaged in transit. All prints are packed between 2 pieces of solid cardboard and placed in a plastic sleeve before being sealed in a postage envelope.

All 11x14 inch prints or larger will be carefully rolled and send in packing tubes.

All products (ie. Bag tags, keyings, drink bottles) will be wrapped in packing foam and may be boxed depending on the number of products.

All blockmounts will be fitted with cardboard corners and will be wrapped in packing foam.

Unfortunately, we rely on mail and courier providers to deliver our products and despite our efforts to prevent it, orders may still be damaged in the process. If you order does arrive damaged please call us on 1300 677 000 or email us at info@nationalphotography.com.au and we can organise replacement of any damaged items to be resent.

What do I need to order online?

Your child will be provided with an ordering envelope or online flyer with instruction on how to order your photos online. You will need a shoot key to place your order online. This shoot key will be clearly visible on the ordering information you receive.

What is a shoot key?

A 'shoot key' is the code that you will need to access our online store to submit an order for school photos online. There are 2 types of shoot keys, Individual and Generic.

If your School has the option of ordering envelopes your child will have a unique individual shoot key that is needed to place an order for their photos. If your school has opted for online only ordering you will be provided with a generic shoot key (all students receive the same key to order).

What is a sitting fee?

Like many other industry leaders, National Photography has integrated a photography sitting fee for all studio dance/calisthenics bookings. Parents are required to pay $20 for each child photographed and in return, they will receive $25 credit/voucher to use when purchasing from our wide range of products. The sitting fee covers costs associated with National Photography's services. This includes the photographer's time and expertise, travel and equipment costs along with our pre and post production services.

What is the standard size for prints?

A "5x7" inch (13cm x 18cm) image is the smallest print size we offer and will fit a range of readily available picture frames. We also have a range of larger print sizes and products to choose from.

What methods of payments do you accept?

For all online orders we accept VISA and MASTERCARD. We also accept Cheques and Money Orders but these orders must be place over the phone with one of our customer service representatives. These orders will not be printed and dispatched until payment has been received.

We pride ourselves on capturing all the adventures and joys of being in Pre-School and Kindergarten. A wide range of recreational photographs are taken, which include images of children engaging in both indoor and outdoor activities. We endeavour to ensure 'parental satisfaction' by providing them with a selection of proofs to purchase from.

What will our Centre Receive?

Each Centre that we photograph will receive 10% commission on the total sales from your photo day/s. We will also provide the Centre with a complimentary copy of the group photos for your records as well as a printed copy of any staff portraits taken on the day/s.

What will the Studio/Club receive?

  • Either $10 commission per dancer or 10% commission on total sales (approximately $2 per dancer). Your commission amount is determined by which sitting fee option you select when booking
  • Access to the online gallery
  • Up to 20 complimentary retouched high-resolution images of your choice that may be used to promote your studio/club
  • Complementary display poster of your group photos

When will proofs (of the photos taken) be available for the parents/students?

National Photography will also notify the event organiser for your School or Business advising that the images are online along with the gallery password and online ordering instructions.

When will the student orders be delivered to the school?

We estimate that we will be able to deliver the student order 2-4 weeks after final sign off on the group photos. We require that all group photos be checked and approved by the school before we are able to commence our print run.

Why do I need to pay to access the gallery?

Access cannot be transferred between galleries but you can use your credit to purchase access to another gallery. Please note that partial use of vouchers is not allowed, vouchers must be used in full.

Will the school receive a copy of photos for school use?

Yes. National Photography will provide all staff and student portraits taken throughout the year to the School. Once group photos have been finalised we will also provide digital copies for the School’s archives and year book along with a text file of the group names.

In addition, we will also provide a PDF file of the printed ID folios so that additional pages can be printed by the school as required.
